At the Swedish 5 Days O-Ringen, the largest single-discipline stage event in the world since 1965 with over 100,000 participants, the promotional activity for the 2023 European Championships continues with the presence of a delegation from the Organizing Committee. In the meantime, the official calendar of the EOC Tour competitions, dedicated to amateurs and beginners, has been defined to accompany the Championships in Veneto.

Each appointment of the tour will turn into a real party between fun, good food and music! The program, as indicated in the table, includes 5 competitions that can be purchased with the 5 Days package scheduled from 2 to 6 October.

The opening race in Verona, originally scheduled for 1 October, will take place on 4 October in the morning, in order to allow participants to attend the Sprint final in the historic center of Verona in the afternoon. Further stages will be held in Torri del Benaco (2 October), Lazise (3 October), Prada – Monte Baldo (5 October) and Soave (6 October).

Each race will be accompanied by a moment of knowledge of the territory and a tasting of its typical products, such as a visit to the Soave winery or the ascent to Monte Baldo via the Prada – Costabella Cableway.

EOC TOUR EXTRA RACES

In addition to the EOC Tour 5 Days, three extra races have been added, which you can sign up for separately online and on race day, which will allow orienteers to explore further magnificent corners of the Veneto region. The stage of 1 October has been moved, with respect to the communications present in the first bulletin, to the beautiful historic village of Malcesine, on the Veronese shore of upper Lake Garda.

The organization is working to allow everyone to reach the town by ferry directly from Peschiera del Garda, home of the event center, also to experience the emotions linked to the navigation of the lake. Furthermore, for those who like it, in the afternoon you can take the Malcesine – Monte Baldo Cableway to reach its top at an altitude of 2218 meters and enjoy a breathtaking view.

An extra race in Alonte among the Prosecco vineyards of the Berici Hills has also been included in the calendar for 7 October: an unmissable experience followed by a tasting of typical wines and cheeses with a guided tour of the area. Finally, the appointment in Vicenza scheduled for 8 October has been confirmed.

With a program like this you can’t miss it!
